How does this place work?

Welcome to StubSquad, your one stop shop for sharing season tickets for your favorite sports teams with your friends!

StubSquad works by helping you perform a draft of a sport season by having each person in the group rank each game based on how badly they want to go to it. Once everyone's ranked their games, you press the big red button and it fairly assigns each game to each person in the group.

Create a season

Click the golden button
Create a season
or the hamburger (on mobile) at the top right corner of your screen and start creating your season
Start by selecting the sport your team plays
Then the league they play in
Select the upcoming season
And of course, the most important part: select your team

When you're satisfied with your choices, create that season!

Manage your season

The creator of a StubSquad season becomes its administrator and can choose the various settings of how a season works.

Start by going to the dashboard and clicking on the "Admin" link for the season

Invite your friends

What fun is a season without your friends? Either copy and paste the link into an e-mail or group chat, or invite them via e-mail directly on the Admin page and let your buddies join in the fun!

Who picks when?

Once your friends have registered a StubSquad account, you can click and drag their names to set the order the group picks in

Does someone get more of the season than someone else? Adjust their picks per round until it makes sense. For example, if JimBob pays for half the season, but Billy and Dean only pay for a quarter each, add a pick to JimBob. This makes 4 total picks per round, and JimBob's extras will automatically go after Billy and Dean to make sure it's fair.

Select the Pick Order to show how the picks will be distributed. Confused? As you choose each option, it will automatically update the page to show how the system will assign the picks

Protect games

Are there games that no one should be allowed to pick? Maybe they're pre-assigned, or maybe you already planned to donate them to charity? Use the Blocked Games section to mark off any games that should not be allowed to be picked and give a reason so your friends know why you've blocked it off.

Rank your games!

The reason we're all here: ranking our games! Every person included in the StubSquad season needs to click the Manage Your Picks link from their dashboard and start clicking and dragging each game, based on how badly they want to go to it. This page can be visited and adjusted as many times as you want, even after locking in your picks by clicking on the Lock in my picks! button at the bottom of the page.

There are filters available for some common situations people want to look for and by selecting them, will highlight the games that match those criteria, making it easier to find and drag up or down your list.

Party time

Once everyone has locked in their picks, the season administrator can go to the Admin page and confirm that each person has a green next to their name. Anyone who hasn't submitting their picks yet will have a red next to their name.

Then, the moment you've all been waiting for: press the big purple button:

Complete the season

This will tell the system to start divvying up the games, based on how each person individually ranked their importance.

Send the tickets over

Once the season is completed, everyone can check out the Season Results link to see who ended up getting each game. The administrator can also use this page to easily see which tickets to send to each person, since they're grouped by person and sorted by date, making it easy to find in your team's ticket portal of choice.
